Kardiolytics Inc. is a Chicago-based Artificial Intelligence company specializing in Cardiology. The company was founded in 2018 by a pioneer in Data Mining and Big Data Learning - Paul Lewicki PhD (the founder of StatSoft and STATISTICA) and a surgeon Kris Siemionow MD, PhD (the founder of Holosurgical, a digital surgery company acquired by Surgalign) and it includes a team of clinicians, researchers, and AI software engineers. The headquarters and one R&D center are located in the US (Chicago), two other R&D centers are in Poland (Poznan and Zabrze).

Backend engineer

What will you do?

  • deploy and orchestrate cloud services supporting and running automated methods for structural analysis and computational fluid dynamics for the purpose of medical diagnostics;
  • implement and orchestrate cloud services running machine learning and data processing algorithms;
  • implement software supervising and controlling the operation of those services and algorithms;
  • take part in the development and optimization of our automated diagnostics pipeline;

What is required?

  • good knowledge of AWS operation and services and related technologies (containers, Terraform, Docker, Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, etc.);
  • version control software (Git or equivalent);
  • at least intermediate level programming skills (Python, C++);
  • advanced communication skills in English (spoken and written - B2/C1 equivalent or above);
  • creativity and analytical skills;
  • flexibility and good sense of humor.

What isn’t required, but would be nice to have?

  • knowledge/hands-on experience with 3D graphics;
  • general, practical knowledge of image processing and machine learning;
  • knowledge of domain-specific medical imaging processing and formats;
  • scientific Python stack (Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, scikit-learn);
  • education: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science or any other related field.

        Digital Content Specialist

        What will you do?

        • Planning and posting original, engaging branded content across SF social media channels, including LinkedIn, YouTube and Twitter;
        • Maintain content, monitor performance, and help develop advertising strategies on digital media accounts;
        • Checking social and digital accounts daily for alerts and mentions, responding accordingly;

        What is required?

        • 2+ years of experience with Content Management systems, system implementation expertise;
        • Ability to work in a fast-paced global environment;
        • Advanced communication skills in English (spoken and written - B2/C1 equivalent or above);
        • Creativity and analytical skills;

        What isn’t required, but would be nice to have?

        • Occasionally update HTML, CSS on websites;
        • Experiance in work with multiple key global stakeholders and content owners to facilitate content updates;
